Our Story
I established Sendr in 2019 at the age of 16. The concept of the half-and-half colored sweatshirt came about by pure chance. One of my favorite hoodies had a hole in it, so instead of merely patching it up, I decided to split another hoodie in half and stitch the two sides together. The initial combination of maroon and black became the first ever color combo for this design.
When I wore the original black and maroon hoodie to school, my friends started taking notice and asked me where I got it from. This sparked the idea of starting a business. I began taking local orders through Instagram direct messaging, creating hoodies for friends to match at school and hoodies in school colors, among other requests. The half-and-half hoodie became immensely popular, and it was hard to find a local high school where someone wasn't wearing a Sendr hoodie.
In 2020, I made the decision to switch to online schooling so I could dedicate more attention to my business. Shortly after, I launched my online shop and started promoting the hoodies through social media. I quickly discovered the tremendous reach social media offers, with videos garnering hundreds of thousands, sometimes even millions, of views.
By 2022, Sendr had outgrown my parents' house, and I relocated to my first warehouse in Bend, Oregon. Not long after the move, my brother graduated from college and joined Sendr on a full-time basis. Both of us have developed a passion for understanding how to leverage the algorithms of social media to increase Sendr's visibility to as many people as possible.
Our goal is to create the most viral hoodie across social media platforms and to continue expanding the reach of the Sendr brand worldwide.
